Traits: With a voice that is both haunting and soothing, grounding and uplifting, Yanna Lenae has one of the most distinctive sounds you will ever hear. Think somewhere between Kate Bush, RAYE, and Adele (specifically Skyfall) yet still completely and incredibly unique. Yanna’s tone blends an intricacy of texture so delicate you’d think she was singing in lace, with an innate sense of drama that gives every track an epic, cinematic grandeur. Truly, each song feels like it could open a Bond film. Mark my words: keep an eye on this artist; she will be breaking chart records in no time.
Recent Work: Yanna has been actively sharing originals, covers, live performances, and National Anthem renditions at regional sports events on her YouTube channel. Her latest original, I Don’t Want You Back, is a standout R&B anthem about the bittersweet ache of missing the small moments with someone you know you’re better off without. It’s available now on Spotify and is one of my personal favourites. It honestly sounds like something straight out of the K-Drama Little Women - you’ll know exactly what I mean the moment you hear it!
