Introducing 011 - Áine Deane

Name: Áine “it’s pronounced onya” Deane
Music style: Folk infused pop/Pop infused folk
Background: It was in the midst of pandemic 2020 that Áine took her first steps towards creative recognition from within the five walls of her Tik-Tok extended bedroom. Isolation lamenting tunes grew into songs about life and those who pass through, and Áine’s steps extended to strides that have since propelled her onto some of Europe’s most prestigious stages, including the Royal Albert Hall (London) opening for Sam Smith, and opening for Hozier at l’Alhambra (Paris).
Traits: She writes lyrics, she composes, she plays guitar and piano, she performs; she tells stories. With a voice that could cut through glass, and lyrics so relatable you feel as though it were your own diary you were listening too, Áine’s music empowers us to embrace our own emotions and gives us courage to face the everyday.
Recent Work: Recently Áine released her second EP Nothing Left to Say, a collection of five songs that walk listeners through the many tribulations and towards the ultimate personal triumph of a breakup, available on Spotify and every other major streaming platform.
*Clarity note: Officially Áine creatively remains an independent artist, but in 2023 her 3 week tour ‘The Bookstore Tour’ was organised with support from label Communion Music and talent agency CAA. Since, however, it is unclear what this support constituted and Áine described the tour as “no management, no record labels, no publishers” , her artist profile is included amongst Unsigned Artists.
